Type of Membership
Ordinary Member
- aged 18 years old and above
- citizen of Malaysia
- eligible to hold all Committee post
- have voting right
Life Member
- by conferment or application
- by conferment – Ordinary Member confer by Committee, exempt from paying annual subscription fees
- by application – any citizen of Malaysia aged 18 years old and above pay lifetime subscription fees
- liable to enjoy all privileges by Ordinary Member.
Corporate Member
- any company or organisation registered in Malaysia or
overseas - need to nominate one Corporate Representative – citizen of Malaysia
- have voting rights and may be elected to the Committee
- staff members – liable to enjoy privileges but not eligible to hold office in Committee or any sub-committees – no voting rights
Associate Member
- not citizen of Malaysia
- liable to enjoy all the privileges but have no voting rights
- may be elected to the
committee as Ordinary Committee Member only, subject to the approval of ROS - can hold office in
sub-committees
Honorary Member
- by conferment only
- eminent members rendered distinguished service to Society
- Committee may confer anyone
- may not be elected to the Committee
- can be nominated as sub-committees
Student Member
- any University or college students aged at least 18 years old
- must received approval from
the Vice-Chancellor - enjoy all privileges
- no voting rights
- may not be elected to the Committee
- can be nominated as
sub-committees
